my process

Intuitive is the best way to describe my process.

I often begin with simple ideas I have during my walk to the studio or before falling asleep. Sometimes I’ll start with only a technique. I pay close attention to the clay and try to push each piece to its limit.

Nature is my primary source of inspiration, and the intersection of human ingenuity and the natural world often finds its way into my work.

I also get inspiration from learning about the history of clay, other people’s creativity, surprising color combinations, and meaningful memories.
